Musikantenstadl is a live television entertainment program broadcast in the German language throughout Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. It features Austrian, Swiss, and German popular folk music, international pop and folk music as well as interviews and comedy. As a production of Eurovision, is co-produced by the Österreichischer Rundfunk, Bayerischer Rundfunk and Schweizer Fernsehen. Aside from the live television broadcasts it also tours in Austria and Germany as live concerts. It is currently hosted by Andy Borg and its location of broadcast varies between towns in different regions in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The show could be compared to being a much larger German version of the UK 1970's entertainment show The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club. However Musikantenstadl consists of a large ski lodge Set construction and not a Social Club.

Father and son have the same taste in women, but different tastes in music: both love the beautiful Linda, but while the father leads a successful dance band, the son wants to be a rock star. After an argument, the son leaves his father and performs first as a solo artist, then with a rock band. There he meets the lively Maxi.

Eva, who earns her money as a call girl, learns that she has inherited the Palace Hotel in St. Wolfgang. She immediately quits her job and travels to Lake Wolfgang with her friend Maxie. But immediately upon arrival, they encounter a nasty surprise: the building is an old, dilapidated building with a mountain of debt. What now? The two pretty girls receive unexpected help from six students camping on the hotel lawn. Together, with rags and brooms, they transform the old Palace Hotel into the "Black Horse Inn." But in town, the competition, which, as we all know, never sleeps, is the renowned "White Horse Inn"...

The enterprising but chronically indebted factory owner Gustav Mummelmann meets the supposedly wealthy Tyrolean innkeeper Mariele through a marriage advertisement. To fund the trip, he once again takes advantage of his nephew, the record producer Peter Weigand. Peter accompanies Gustav to Tyrol to escape his persistent girlfriend Marion-Madeleine, who is pressuring him to marry her.

The young musician Ralph Osterwalder, born in Bern in 1922, is tired of working in a big band. He dreams of a small, flexible ensemble. In 1944, he founded his own combo in a hotel room. In 1949, fierce disputes arose. The newly founded Hazy Osterwald Sextet, featuring Sunny Lang, Dennis Armitage, Curti Prina, Werner Dies, and Johnny Ward, soon made international music history. Fast-paced, catchy music, interspersed with humorous show interludes, became the band's unmistakable trademark.

"Festival of Hearts" is the name of the new pop music show by popular DJ Camillo. He came up with the idea by chance. Marcel, a young bank employee, almost hit a charming young girl with his car. Angry, she lent him her jack, but then disappeared forever. He cannot forget her and tries to find her again through the show "Schlagerfreunde" (Schlager Friends). And that becomes the idea for Camillo's new show: to bring couples who have lost each other back together through a melody. For Marcel, it happens faster than expected, because his great love is none other than Camillo's secretary, who can follow his cries for help from the control room.

Out of necessity, Gunther Philipp and his male colleagues put on women's clothes again and cause a commotion in the noble ski resort of Davos as the Jolly Sisters. Their girlfriends don't take kindly to this and counterattack in men's costumes.

Consul daughter Anne Stülcken wants to take her fiancee undetected under the magnifying glass and therefore slips in her father's villa in the role of a maid.
