Based on a book trilogy of the same name, the movie tells the story of the self-made man who faced several moments of turbulence while pursuing his conviction.

A murder investigation in a small rural town, marked by silences and loyalties, uncovers old secrets. Adoniran, a respected investigator, sees his life collapse when he goes from agent to prime suspect.
