The story revolves around two friends who try to open an illegal restaurant in Dorcol, in order not to pay taxes, which puts them into various comic situations. One is a Belgrade scammer who resells everything and lives that way, and the other is a village hipster attempting to become a Belgradian.

A Librarian from the past time travels to the present and finds himself stuck here. When he returns to his castle, which is now a museum, he inadvertently releases magic across the continent. He is given a new team to help him clean up the mess he made, forming a new team of Librarians.

In 1882, Jelena Ilka Marković orchestrates a failed assassination plot against King Milan Obrenović. Shortly after her conviction, she is found dead in her cell - an official suicide. Seven years later, the discovery of two bodies on the same day - a young girl and the great-grandson of Prince Miloš - reignites the shadows of the past. As a struggling lawyer and the Belgrade Chief of Police reopen the case, they are drawn into a web of political intrigue and secrets powerful enough to shatter the very foundations of Serbia.

The mini-series tells about the period of Prince Mihailo Obrenović’s life shortly before and during the assassination.

In 1882, when Jelena Ilka Marković – the widow of Jevrem Marković, accused of participating in the Topolska Rebellion and summarily executed – attempted to assassinate King Milan Obrenović and thus avenge her husband. She was arrested, and a few months later she was found dead in her prison cell.

While a deadly conspiracy was plotted against him to thwart the liberation of Serbia from the Ottoman rule, the Serbian Duke, in love with his much younger cousin, is torn between his sense of duty and his feelings. This historical thriller – romance is based on real events.
