A mixed cast of Egyptians, Libyans and Moroccans address the issue of corruption among young people, many of whom seem to be suffering greatly from the lingering effects of war.

Layla refuses to get married because she believes all men are liars especially after her sister's tragic suicide on her wedding day when her fiancé left her. Layla's father decides to put an end to her stubbornness and sends a letter that explains her problem to Ahmed who works as an editor for the local newspaper. His friend Kamal, a womanizer wants to settle down and find a wife. Ahmed suggests that Kamal should meet with Layla and ask for her hand in marriage, and both of them get engaged. When Layla discovers more on Kamal's past, she breaks off the engagement and the problems commence.

When Huda gets released after killing her traitorous husband, it angers his father, Abdul Qawi who fights to prevent her from having custody of her child. Ahmed the lawyer sympathies with her and they get married while Abdul Qawi wants to avenge them.

Farida lives with her husband and co-worker Hamdy in his family's apartment, while their boss Abdel Aziz falls for Farida. After Hamdy divorces her, Farida marries Abdel Aziz, only to discover that he's a playboy who has a weakness for maids and she decides to use this against him.

Abo El-Maaty buys a piece of land to cultivate it. A film crew comes to shoot near the farm, but the film star Salwa has an accident and Abo El-Maaty takes her to his farm to take care of her. She discovers that no one there knows who she is and becomes impressed by the simple life they're living.
