Peace has returned to Björndal. After his father's death, young Dag succeeds him and strives to build a good relationship with his neighbor von Gall. The young farmer is determined to return the Borgland farm, which his father acquired by secretly purchasing bills of exchange. Dag leaves the old man in charge of the estate and assigns Aunt Elo, a lovely relative of his wife Adelheid, to assist him. He also brings Adelheid's father, Major Barre, to Björndal, where he is to spend his retirement with the young family. According to the Lexicon of International Films, the film is a Heimatfilm of a relatively respectable standard.

Simon Granderath has been found dead in his appartment. His only daughter, Monika Besse, who lives in Luxembourg, arrives to arrange the funeral and settle his estate. She wishes to get back to Luxembourg and to her normal life as quickly as possible. However, she quickly realizes that in fact, she hardly knew her father, and tries to trace the various stages and encounters that made up his life. Much later, she realizes that the search for the identity of her father has actually become a search of her own identity – though still she believes she can get closer to her father after his death.

Stockinger is an Austrian-made police television drama, with fourteen 45-minute episodes first aired from 1996 to 1997. Stockinger leaves the series to return to Salzburg where his wife has inherited a dental practice from her late father . Unlike the members of the team in 'Rex', who appear to be self-directed and are seldom seen to answer to senior management, Stockinger reports to Dr Brunner, a philosophising burecratic senior police inspector.
