Vivi and her father emigrate to Israel where he eventually gets recognized by friends and takes up work singing in a small bar. Vivi works there as a waitress until she gets her lucky break when her father goes blind and she takes over from him. Spotted by a crooked talent scout, who signs her up, she ends up performing lots of shows but doesn't get to receive all the money she has earned.

The story of Yamin Masika, the “Don Quixote" of Israeli cinema — a director, social activist, and cultural entrepreneur who played a pivotal role in transforming Mizrahi culture from the margins to the mainstream. In the 1990s, after repeated rejections by the Israeli film industry, Masika began creating underground, low-budget films and music videos featuring Mizrahi artists like Avi Bitter, Tamir Gal, Moshe Cohen, Sarit Hadad, and Zehava Ben. Though ridiculed and dismissed by the establishment, these films resonated deeply with audiences who had been excluded from mainstream media for decades, leading to a cultural revolution.

Tutit and Milel, two failing singers trying to find themselves in the jungle of the entertainment industry with the help of a mediocre and frightened promoter. In each episode the duo finds themselves in extreme situations in order to write a new song. Among other things, the two go camping in nature, enlist in the army, are hospitalized and even form a party. Although they seemingly fail every time they try to write a song, in almost every episode a humorous song is embedded in their performance related to the plot of the episode. The series is characterized by blatant humor, humorous songs, celebrities in guest roles and extensive use of LGBT slang.
