When her wish comes true and Lay Lay is magically brought to life, the two friends learn that when they are together, they can accomplish anything, and navigate life as teenagers and discover who they truly are.

Burden tells the story of Bennett Lewis (Nic Few), a highly successful and highly educated family man who in spite of his success still has to deal with the perils of being a Black man in America.

Inspired by an actual 911 call placed during a school shooting incident in Atlanta, Georgia. Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film at the 90th Academy Awards in 2018.
