Leyla, a beautiful and feisty middle-aged woman, lives with her mother, whose nagging has become everyday background music. The two women fight shamelessly and cruelly, and in protest against her mother Leyla makes choices that even she herself finds a bit startling. Ahmet is a taxi driver, years younger than Leyla and confused after his father’s death. He still has to report his every step to his mother and obey his uncle who is the head of the family.

When Zehra and İbrahim, a couple adjusting to new parenthood, argue over a coffee table, it seems like a harmless domestic spat. Wanting to assert himself for once, İbrahim insists on buying it. But when he’s left alone to assemble it, he makes a single irreversible mistake — and begins spiraling into a pit of lies, panic, and performative calm as he tries to hide the truth from the people he loves the most.

The film is about a love triangle between two women and a man. In the movie, Cansu Tosun plays Yasemin, a cheerful woman who guides others, while Tolga Güleç plays Emre, who is left alone after his dad dies and has to move to a small town even though he's never lived outside Istanbul before.

The story of a child whose exhausted family is trying to rebuild itself, and the emotional and dramatic story of the father and son meeting each other for the first time after the mother's return is told in a unique and melancholic language. The lives of Emrah and Mahmut, who are students in Istanbul, are about to change. Mahmut has decided to kidnap his girlfriend Kezban because her brother opposes their relationship. Emrah, Mahmut, Kezban, and Emrah's girlfriend Yaprak set off for Emrah's family's summer house in Mersin. At first, everything seems to be going smoothly in Mersin. Meaning "those at the rear desks", name of the series was attributed to a group of forsaken students whose experiences are taken as subject of the storyline. The series began broadcast on September 30, 2007 on Fox Turkey. It is aired weekly on Sundays at 19:45.
