The media in Taiwan is gripped by a recent incident where an ATM machine mysteriously dispensed a large amount of cash. With no suspects in sight, the police is stumped while the public is intrigued. Meanwhile, a luxury car stopped in front of a small pottery shop, the owner of the shop Guo Hao Sen (Blue Cheng-Lung Lan) reluctantly enters the car - As a young scion of a commercial bank in Taiwan, Hao Sen is plucked from obscurity and sent to the Singapore office by his power hungry uncle after the death of his elder brother. A power struggle ensues across the border while an insidious plot for revenge begins. As the wheel of revenge starts, a group of seemingly innocent young people, Xiao Ai (Joanne Tseng), Ting Xuan (Kuan-Ting Liu), Lu Di (Elvin Ng) and Dong Huang (Romeo Tan) get embroiled in the plot. Who is behind the ATM incident and what links are there with those in Singapore? As their fate intertwines, they soon realize they are closer to each other than they think.

Leading Taiwan cinema names Hou Hsiao-hsien (“The Assassin,” “The Puppetmaster”) and Lee Kang-sheng (“Days,” “Goodbye, Dragon Inn”) are attached to “Twisted Strings”, a TV anthology series backed by HBO Asia and streamer Catchplay.The seven-part series is written and directed by Golden Horse-nominated director, Huang Xi (“Missing Johnny”). Hou is attached as the series executive producer. Lee, who has appeared exclusively in films over the past 30 years, notably those of famed Malaysian director Tsai Ming-liang, stars.

76 year-old Shi Wen Feng (Romeo Tan) and 64 year-old Bai Xiang Guo (Liu Ling Ling/He Ying Ying) wandered into and got lost in the jungle. They met while trying to find a way out and recognized each other immediately, they were in love when Wen Feng was a teacher and Xiang Guo a student, but each went their separate way and started their own family. Zi Le learned baking from An Qi and eventually becomes good at it, even opening his own bakery with Da Wei. He also reunites with his childhood sweetheart Yu Wen (Paige Chua). His mother, Bi Qiu (Yun Xiang), suddenly returns to reunite with him. But all is not well when he discovers that Bi Qiu harbours an ulterior motive. When the bakery gets into trouble and Bi Qiu absconds with Zi Le's money, the Happy Prince finally breaks down - Can Zi Le stand against adversity one more time and continue to pursue his dreams?

Peace Photography Studio is an established but traditional studio founded 80 years ago and had 5 branches in its heyday. Now, there's only a single studio left and is managed by Pan Renyi and daughter Pan Zejia . Pan Zejia quietly helped out at the studio as she feels indebted to Pan Renyi who helped her settle a huge debt 10 years ago, and as a result, she remained single since then. Ke Yuanhang is a newspaper reporter who is kind and magnanimous, although 5 years younger than Pan Zejia, a friendship soon developed. While Pan Zejia is irritable and impatient, Ke Yuanhang is gentle and caring. Their hindrances do not stop there, as Pan Renyi is constantly at loggerheads with Ke Yuanhang's mother, Hong Ziyi. 96°C Café is set against the backdrop of a homely café, owned by married couple Liqiao (Desmond Tan) and Xijie (Paige Chua). When Xijie meets with an accident, she stops working at the café and things start to change. As Xijie becomes more forlorn and withdrawn, Liqiao over time develops an unlikely affinity with Yuchen (Julie Tan), a fine arts student hired to help out in the café. With an unexpected twist at the end of the mini drama, this is a contemporary love story which brings cheers and tugs at the heartstrings of viewers.
