The story revolves around the people of Sète, France. Their lives are punctuated by family rivalries, romance and scenes from daily life, but also by plots involving police investigations, secrets and betrayals.

Hugo, a police officer, is going through a painful divorce. Still in love with his ex-wife, he tries to maintain a bond with his children. Then, a crisis strikes: his ex-wife and their young children are abducted. The police investigation quickly turns toward Hugo, who is considered the prime suspect.
