In 1957 French student Pierre Durand comes to Moscow to do an internship at Moscow State University. Here he meets ballerina Kira Galkina and photographer Valera Uspenskiy. With them he discovers the cultural side of Moscow — not just the traditional one, but the underground one as well. During his year in Russia’s capital Pierre lives an entirely different life than what he’s used to. But the internship and the experience of the Soviet people’s way of life are not the only things Pierre is after. He’s searching for his father, White officer Tatishchev, who was arrested in the 1930s.

A series of comedy sketches about two plumber friends trying to get rich. In each episode, Lech, who is used to doing things first and then thinking, creates a new plan on how to become a millionaire, while Zheka, silent, modest and cowardly, unsuccessfully tries to turn away from his friend's new adventure, because he knows that it will not end well. But Zheka has a personal motivator — the eternally dissatisfied wife Natalia. She constantly needs money, she skillfully manipulates her husband — he has no chance to refuse. Every business that promises easy money to the partners turns into a complete failure. And only Lekha's greed and Zheki's simple-minded gullibility make them return to the criminal world again and again. The characters of the series will face serious challenges, thanks to which they will be able to test their strength of character, courage and friendship.
