A scientist invents a serum that keeps a dog's head alive after its body dies. When the scientist dies of a heart attack, his crazed assistant cuts off his head and, using the serum, keeps the doctor's head alive and forces it to help him on an experiment to give his hunchbacked nurse assistant a new body.

Abram returns to his small village and although his repairing skills are needed, people's suspicion about his sexual preferences make his life hard.

His grandpa gives the orphan boy Robbie a foal that they call "little brother". The boy loves the animal and wants to train it as a racing horse - but then his grandpa dies. Robbie's sister isn't old enough to care for themselves, so they get a guardian who decides to sell all the horses. Robbie hides his "little brother" at a farm, but it's hard for him to come up with the rent regularly..

The composer Carl Maria von Weber is on his way to Prague with his bride Caroline Brandt when their carriage is attacked by bandits. Fortunately, Count Enzio von Schwarzenbrunn rushes to their aid and puts the villains to flight. However, the noble host who invites them to his castle is nowhere near as noble as he suspects, having staged the robbery himself in order to bring the enchanting Caroline to his aristocratic residence in this clever way and get to know her better in this luxurious setting.

In spite of his blustering manner and his refusal to listen to what the patients have to say, Dr. Doppelsieder is highly respected in the Upper Bavarian town of Bayrischzell, because he (almost) always has the right remedy and effective advice ready for the sick. The only person he can't help is Pfundtner, the rich Guldenhof farmer. He wants a remedy that, after seven daughters, will finally help him and his wife to the longed-for farm inheritance.

On December 12, 1945 Maria Stadler got (as one of the first from the American occupying power) the license to operate a movie theater. At first she ran a traveling cinema, which went so well that she opened on 30 October 1953 Maria's Kino in Bad Endorf, which still exists today. In the winter of 1976/77 students of the Munich University of Film and Television made a documentary about the idealist, who had since become a movie legend.

At the top of the mountain stands the beautiful Sternsteinhof farm. Leni, a girl from a poor background, admires this farm and wants to become a farmer's wife there one day to escape her poor circumstances. Toni, the rich owner's son, comes at just the right time. When he gives her a written promise of marriage, Toni's father intervenes. He wants his son to marry a wealthy farmer's daughter and sends him to the army for the next few years. Muckerl, a simple wood carver, seizes his chance and courts Leni's favor...

The new waitress at the Gasthof zur Post is an object of desire for all men in the village.

There's only one way for the farmer Assbichler to save his farm from ruin: he has to marry off his son Toni to the pretty Rosl, the daughter of the rich farmer Pius Mang. Mang, however, wants his daughter to marry a well-off man; and so Assbichler has to borrow some cattle to give the farm the appearance of a large farming estate.

This is essentially a "Kraft durch Freude" propaganda film though the organization is never mentioned. A company's three day outing might very well be the last because bankruptcy is just around the corner. The people on the trip have all their individual problems and wishes, too. This episodic film might sound quite promising considering the basic idea but its script is determinedly optimistic and leads everything and anything to a happy end. The dramatic parts are finished in a rather implausible way, the comedic are terribly predictable. There's a badly misjudged singing scene in the bus, some bavarian shtick, the Regensburger Domspatzen are singing in Augsburg and so on...

The contrast between city and country living.

Farmer Grillhofer is slowly getting old and sickly. His housekeeper Rosl takes care of him, while foreman Wastl takes care of the farm. Grillhofer's brother-in-law Dusterer knows that twenty-five years ago the farmer got involved with his maid, Riesler Magdalen, who then disappeared. He uses this knowledge to get Grillhofer to hand over his estate to him and his family.

Tatort is a long-running German/Austrian/Swiss crime television series set in various parts of these countries. The show is broadcast on the channels of ARD in Germany, ORF in Austria and SF1 in Switzerland.

A police department, lead by an older, experienced detective solve crimes together.
