In 2014 Russia’s hybrid war against Ukraine turns hot. An engineer, actor, soccer coach and florist volunteer to fight on the front line. Unaware of the pivotal role they will play in the war, they discover the meaning of true leadership.

Slow life in a small seaside town N is suddenly disturbed by a local scandal around a man who has recently passed away. Only his wife and his friend know where he was buried, and they refuse to tell the others, seemingly in accordance to his last will. Each character seeks answers to the questions of their own, but they are searching on the outside, inquiring society and each other, so their efforts are futile. Something is about to happen.

The protagonist, Herman has to come back to his native Donbas after years spent away. He has to look into the case of his brother’s sudden disappearance. Herman meets real and unreal characters, his childhood friends and the local mafia. And suddenly, to his own surprise, he decides to stay in his native town with people who love and believe him and need his defense.

A lonely dad, facing the sudden death of a Ukrainian babysitter, takes his daughter and her friend on a journey by the truck. Will trucker and two scamp girls handle the transport of frozen fish, body smuggling and life without a home?

The story of Basia and Tadeusz, a Polish couple going through a crisis, living in the huge house of Magda Lipińska, Tadeusz's mother. Magda is a domineering mother-in-law who strives for perfection both in business and family matters. Thanks to Basia and Tadeusz, refugees arrive at Magda's house: two Ukrainian women, Anna and little Waria, which turns the protagonist's world upside down.
