Movie6.9DramaGermany in the autumn of 1957: Lola, a seductive cabaret singer-prostitute exults in her power as a temptress of men, but she wants out—she wants money, property, and love. Pitting a corrupt building contractor against the new straight-arrow building commissioner, Lola launches an outrageous plan to elevate herself in a world where everything, and everyone, is for sale. Shot in childlike candy colors, Fassbinder’s homage to Josef von Sternberg’s classic The Blue Angel stands as a satiric tribute to capitalism.

Movie4.3ComedyThree pretty schoolgirls of marriageable age giggle and cackle while lying naked in bed as they read from the erotic notes of one of them, which are compiled in a notebook called "My intimate diary". One day, the author of these late-pubescent outpourings, Monika Hannemann, daughter of a town councillor, leaves her erotic fantasies in the classroom, whereupon these lines fall into the hands of the slippery teacher Miss Stubentreu. She reads them and learns from the lines that Monika must have become a village mattress and slept with half the men in Bumburg. Soon the erotic content is making the rounds, becoming the talk of the small town, and the conjectures and insinuations about who had or could have had what with whom in Bumburg run rampant. Even a reporter named Waltraut Henze, who has few scruples, arrives because she senses a sensational story behind the scribblings.

Movie10.0DramaThe film is based on the memoirs of Hamburg burglar Julius Adolf Petersen (1882-1933), who became famous as "Lord of Barmbeck". Petersen owed his status as a folk hero to the fact that he did not use any physical violence during his raids and only stole from rich people. After several times escaping, Petersen was finally sentenced to a long prison term. With no prospect of release, he took his own life in 1933.

Movie10.0ComedyMusicIn this hilarious opera parody, Loriot delivers a comedic take on the pretentiousness of the operatic world. The plot revolves around a fictional opera production that spirals into absurdity as egos clash, misunderstandings abound, and everything goes hilariously wrong. Through a series of farcical and exaggerated situations, Loriot brilliantly mocks the pomp and circumstance of opera while showcasing his signature dry humor and love for absurdity. Noch 'ne Oper is a sharp and witty satire of high culture’s often ridiculous nature.

TVTalk ShowDisco was a pop music program that aired in Germany on the ZDF network from 1971 to 1982. It generally aired on the first Saturday of each month at 7:30PM, each show running 45 minutes. 133 shows were produced. The show was hosted by German actor and comedian Ilja Richter. Its lesser known predecessor on ZDF, 4-3-2-1 Hot & Sweet was aired between 1966 and 1970, presenters included Ilja Richter and Suzanne Doucet. Disco generally served a younger pop-oriented audience compared to ZDF's Hitparade, and until 1972, its main competitor was Beat-Club, followed by Musikladen, both on ARD. Repeats of Disco have been aired since 1984 on ZDF Musikkanal, after its closedown in 1989 on 3sat. Since 2004, the digital ZDF Theaterkanal aired repeats of the entire series. In 2007, ZDF Dokukanal began to air reruns, starting with episodes from 1975 and also multiple repeats of the series have been shown on hit24 in 2008. The show focussed on chart hits current at the time of airing, giving about equal airtime to international pop music and German Schlager. Despite its name, it did not particularly focus on disco music although it featured many disco hits as long as they were chart relevant..
