The whole Bélier family is deaf, except for sixteen year old Paula who is the important translator in her parents' day to day life especially when it comes to matters concerning the family farm. When her music teacher discovers she has a fantastic singing voice and she gets an opportunity to enter a big Radio France contest the whole family's future is set up for big changes.

A month of vacation with friends: difficult to bear the kids of his friends, especially when the methods of education differ and that some prove to be unbearable.

Charlotte, an alienated sound engineer, travels to the country home where her mother was just murdered. She is quickly frustrated by the lack of progress in the police investigation and so begins her own. While listening to a fresh sound recording she made in her mother's house, Charlotte discovers a strange phenomenon, she can hear sounds from the past in her headphones. Soon she is using this ability to hear the past to piece together the last few days of her mother's life, drawing ever closer to discovering who killed her, even as the murderer returns to try and eliminate Charlotte before they are discovered.

Florence and Bruno thought they had finally found balance in their relationship with their children when suddenly they had to face a new threat: parents! First, Bruno's mother, Monique, showed up. She had broken her leg and could no longer take care of herself. Her son naturally offered to take her in until she recovered. Then it's the turn of Florence's father, Henri, who has just been left by his partner. Now homeless, he is deeply depressed. His daughter has no choice but to offer him hospitality. Florence and Bruno's routine is disrupted, but they remain optimistic.

The story revolves around the people of Sète, France. Their lives are punctuated by family rivalries, romance and scenes from daily life, but also by plots involving police investigations, secrets and betrayals.
