In the studio of a well-known director, female actors audition for the role of Scheherazade in “A Thousand and One Nights”. But the women gradually realise that the director has more in mind than just casting the leading role.

Golsa is a 16-year-old girl living with her family in a small town near Tehran. She spends most of her time hanging out with a group of friends. One day the group decide on a course of action the consequences of which will have unexpected results and turn their little bit of fun into something far more complicated.

Ahmad is an exiled teacher living in a small poor village with mostly ethnic Baloch along the Iranian border with Afghanistan. He acquaints a family of illegal Hazara refugees who are fleeing an immediate threat from the Taliban’s rise to power. Soon after Ahmad begins to realize that prejudice and dogma are dictating all of their lives and his perspective on what is right and what is wrong changes drastically. He decides to save a young forbidden love but that decision can have dire consequences for everyone.

The film A Shadowless Man in the Social Genre, produced in 1397 and filmed in Iran and Spain. The director of this work, Alireza Reisian, went on to make a film without shadows after the films "Forty Years" and "The Age of Love". A Shadowless Man was screened at the 37th Fajr Festival. The story of this film deals with the emotional and marital relationship of contemporary man, who has a special look at social problems these days. The film's synopsis states that filmmaker Mahan Koushiar decides to make a documentary about a serial murder, but his life is affected.

Azar (82), a former actress, learns of the passing of her lover. With the help of a traveling theater troupe, she embarks on a journey to find the woman she was forced to leave because of society’s taboos. Her journey allows her to reflect on her past and her regrets, but instead of death, it brings her life.

Mitra is a famous lawyer who one day a crime happens in his office. Therefore, he is forced to start an investigation about one of his clients to defend himself, and in this way he faces problems that even endanger his job.
