Based on novel by M. Cihlar Nehajev, this TV drama testifies the position of intellectuals before the First World War. It raises several questions: what is the price of intellectual work, what’s the position of inteligentsia in the Croatian province, and what’s their role in the political movements.

While expecting their child, a student couple announce to their parents that they will marry. Both sets of parents are against it, but when the proposal takes place, the things take unexpected turn.
