Kolya Semenov grew up in a village, in a fishing village near the river. He likes a girl who wants to become an actress. Once Kolya steals a gazelle to impress the girl. Ahead of him are several years of roads and hills.

She always has a plan. For each his own. For everyone another name. One needs Vera (Faith), another Nadezhda (Hope). And almost all need Liubov (Love). She leaves every one at his own time. She finds a reason. But who knows where deceit ends which people buy only for the sake of money, and when genuine feelings begin? The movie tells the story of Franz, a Waffen-SS soldier who deserts, and Polina, a Belarusian woman whose village is razed and people massacred.

In the life of the editor-in-chief of the glossy magazine Gosha, a shock occurs after meeting a girl named Karina. Once among the victims, the girl comes up with a rather sophisticated revenge plan and goes to the witch. The next morning, Gosha wakes up and discovers that he has become a woman himself.

Alexander Yumatov manages the affairs of his uncle's bank and, by the will of fate, finds himself embroiled in criminal squabbles. He and those close to him suffer from this.
