Large doses of humor, ingenious nods to Spain's most recent national cinema, an artistic cast highly linked to comedy and a high reserve of surprises constitute the ingredients of this crazy comedy: Spanish Movie.

After the sudden death of his wife, Tomás, a successful elderly writer who has been out of Spain during the last forty years, unexpectedly receives an old tarot card which seems to have for him a disturbing meaning, so he decides to return to the small village where he grew up.

Simón is an aspiring novelist who makes a living designing crossword puzzles for a newspaper. One day he receives a threatening message instructing him to include the word "adversary" in a puzzle as Seville gets hit by a series of violent attacks.

A young man hitchhikes on a full-moon night and a young woman picks him up. The woman is a little crazy and gets angry. She takes a gun and shoots him. Next night she picks up another hitchhiker.

A group of students around 18 years old gather at a high school to make a horror short film. The lead actress in the supposed short film is not motivated enough, so the director, who is quite harsh, decides to take advantage of the psychopathic traits of the boy operating the camera, who seems obsessed with the actress.

El Hormiguero is a Spanish television program with a live audience focusing on comedy, science, and politics running since September 2006. It is hosted and produced by screenwriter Pablo Motos. The show aired on Spain's Cuatro channel from launch until June 2011 and is now broadcast on Antena 3. Recurring guests on the show include Luis Piedrahita, Raquel Martos, Marron & "The Man in Black", and puppet ants Trancas and Barrancas. It has proved a ratings success, and has expanded from a weekly 120-minute show to a daily 40-minute show in its third season, which began on September 17, 2007. The show won the Entertainment prize at the 2009 Rose d'Or ceremony.

David Broncano, along with Jorge Ponce, Ricardo Castella and his other collaborators, lead La Revuelta, a comedy show that includes multiple sections and interviews from the Teatro Príncipe Gran Vía in Madrid.
