A young American is trying to find a man from her past, but he is never to be found, during the largest conflict on European soil since World War II – the battle of Vukovar. Spanning decades, the film follows lovers Lovro and Nenad and their friends Stevan and Ivan, a group of gay partisans who fought against the Ustashas and Nazis. Sixteen years later, they became renowned filmmakers navigating life in post-WWII Communist Yugoslavia. As they rise to fame, they are forced to create propaganda for the regime, risking everything to protect their identities and each other. In 1957 their sexual orientation raises suspicion, and a communist party loyalist named Emir is assigned to sabotage their careers and lives, a party loyalist hiding his own secrets, whose loyalties begin to falter. The pursuit of freedom becomes a fight for survival for the artists, while Emir's beliefs are challenged. Lush, intimate, and politically charged (and with startling parallels to our current political climate), Beautiful Evening, Beautiful Day is a poignant story of resistance — against oppression, against silence, and for the freedom to live and love without fear.

Too afraid to confess to his wife that he fell for another woman, a middle-aged man turns into a ticking bomb that might explode right into his face.

Sitting in a restaurant representing the waiting room to the other world, a tired old man watches the patrons who represent him and his immediate family during the important moments of his life. Moments that have impacted him and the family, and have turned him into a man he was at the end of his life. The old man is forced to look these events in an objective way, observe them from the sidelines, as the judge and jury of a tragic life filled with regret, bitterness, and bad decisions. At a certain point, it becomes clear that the old man has actually died and is watching his own life.

Josip is a goalkeeper. Known and loved among football fans. As a result of an accident, the security network of social and material assurance suddenly disappears from around the goalkeeper. Josip falls on a skiing trip and now has to undergo rehabilitation at a sanatorium. In this world filled with tedious and meaningless chatter, Josip assumes the role of an outside observer.

Alen’s sudden downfall at the peak of his career triggers a series of personal and legal upheavals as an injury, a failed transfer, and a broken relationship lead him into a court battle handled by young attorney Maja Romić.

A girl from Dalmatia, Lucija and Kruno a young lawyer from Zagreb, impulsively decided to get married, after only a month of acquaintance. They really start to know each other after the wedding, their lives get spiced up with many surprises. Lucija and Kruno are completely different in character and mentality: she is a carefree and cheerful Dalmatian, at the same time frivolous and superficial, he is more serious, more calm, but at the same time he's a panic who sees disaster in everything. When their distinctive relatives join in in the mix, it takes a lot of love and patience to overcome all the differences.
