What is March 8th? It's spring, the sun, tulips, mom's smile and the anticipation of falling in love and happiness. There is also a fuss, congratulations, queues in shops, flowers and an endless race for gifts. Every year, on this day, there is a global collapse in which everything is dedicated to women. The most ordinary people who face extraordinary situations, and unplanned meetings radically change their lives.

Made for the Venice Film Festival's 70th anniversary, seventy filmmakers made a short film between 60 and 90 seconds long on their interpretation of the future of cinema.

Zero. Winter. Ural city. A high school student is beaten on the street. He is dying. Parents experience the tragedy in different ways. Mother finds the diary. Only after the death of her son does she begin to understand how he lived. The father is obsessed with revenge and is looking for killers.

Ivan's cat suddenly dies - that is the only thing that connected him with his ex-wife, the separation from which he still cannot survive. He cannot bury the cat: there is no money, and winter is raging on the street. His best friend Pasha comes to his aid, and he intends to arrange a funeral at all costs.

At night 45-year-old Kolya is waiting for a bus to go to see his daughter. But instead he comes across the phantom of his late mother and their conversation unearths images of the past: his brother funeral, family quarrels, humiliations. a theft. Reality mingles with visions and the bus stop turns into a spot where life and death face each other. The film raises the question of responsibility, family relations and redemption.

A series of unexpected events lead the alien Alyoshenka to Earth. His appearance on the planet spurs supernatural forces into action. And still the cold space and his lost native planet call to him.

It so happens that Andrey ends up in a mental hospital. Incredible as it may seem, this is the place where he finds true friends for the first time in his life and gets a chance to change his life.

In a Russian country house, two boys, Anton and Zhenya, shoot air rifles at bottles. Anton suddenly fires at a cat, shocking Zhenya. Their friendship becomes strained. That evening, Anton's father takes them to the river and recalls his own childhood, when he built a forest shelter together with a friend. As night falls, Anton tries to reconcile, but Zhenya rejects his friendship. The next day, at the bus stop, they part without speaking, their silence filled with unspoken tension and guilt.

In the hunting lodge on the outskirts of one-of-a-kind natural reserve lives game warden, Vasily Klintsov (Igor Lifanov), a young former captain from the special task force. A rich German businessman, in the company of the governor, comes to the nearby small town for hunting. Wild boar hunting is a risky and dangerous business. In addition, as ill luck would have it, a very dangerous criminal escapes from the closely located nearby maximum security penal colony. The hunt should be canceled. But the stakes for the bureaucrats are too high - the 'money bag' is prepared to invest in several large projects. Relying on the traditional Russian blind trust in sheer luck, the governor gives his OK for the hunt.

One day, a mysterious man appears in this quiet backwater town. He goes by the title of the Executor: at least that's what it says on his business card...

Artyom is 15 years old. This is the same age when you are not an adult, but also not small. It was in this, the last summer of childhood, that everything fell on Artyom at once: the betrayal of his father, who remained abroad after the tour, first love, friendship forever and quarrel forever. Artyom has only a skateboard - this is how in the 80s in the USSR they called skate, which Soviet teenagers had just begun to learn about. Now Artyom needs only one thing: by all means to win in street competitions.

The film is about the relations between the inhabitants of Russia and the Caucasus, and about their influence on each other. Young Georgian Georgi Iobadze tells the audience the story of the Vainakhs (a group of peoples of the North Caucasus and Georgia) in the period from 1813 to 1913.

Two partners travel around St. Petersburg near Bulanov and investigate the case of the disappearance of the corpses of young girls from morgues.

1980 year. Pre-Olympic Moscow. The MUR people were tasked with preventing a single crime in the capital, clearing the city of all unreliable elements. Even the slaughter department is involved in the execution. Cherkasov and his team are entrusted with the fight against prostitution and "bad luck." But, instead, Ivan Petrovich is forced to investigate one murder after another. In the center of events is a bandit named Skull who recently left the prison. Almost all of the murders committed take place under the Skull, but there is no direct evidence of his involvement in the crimes. It is impossible to prove his guilt, but at the same time his innocence is under great doubt: as if someone invisible constantly saves the Skull from death, clearing the way for him. But who might be interested in this?
