The comedy tells the story of a lonely mother of a small, naughty and immediate son who sometimes unwittingly does some mischief. Not for nothing does the mom say that in a family where they have such a boy, they would need a belt. The perceptive Petřík does not hesitate and goes to buy her a belt as a present at the department store. On this occasion, he invites the elderly nice saleswoman to their home, because their grandmother has already died and their father is gone too. In the shop, she meets a purse snatcher who tricks the boy for his address. On Christmas Eve, the mother is surprised not only by unexpected visitors at home, but also by a sympathetic young policeman who has accompanied her son home...

His son would like to marry Mariana, a girl from the neighborhood, while his daughter has fallen in love with Valéro, a young man who is Harpagon's steward. The accountants at a agricultural cooperative near Prague have completed the calculation of wages. The driver with the cashier are leaving for a bank in Prague to withdraw the cash amounting to over one million crowns. On returning back, an oncoming heavy truck appears, crashing into their car. The injured men cannot defend themselves, and the whole cash is stolen from them.

On 20th of April 1945 the Soviet army launches its attack on Berlin. The end has come for Nazi Germany and Hitler decides to commit suicide. In Prague K.H. Frank (Nazi Secretary of State and Chief of police in the Protectorate of Bohemia a Moravia) discusses with his commanders how to transform the city into an impregnable fortress, but the Praguers do not intend to wait any longer. From the early hours of 4th of May people start assembling in the streets and tearing down German signs. On the next day, the 5th of May, the uprising begins.

He was fished out of the waves by a young hunter, Sokol, and adopted by the Raven village. The fate of the boy from his childhood through his desire to become a hunter, through the many disappointments that await him among the adults, to the founding of a new family - this is the plot thread connecting the individual parts.

In the 1980s, a number of films were made about teenagers. At first they dealt with the confusing search for life orientation, the difficult entry into adult life - and gradually the interest shifted to delinquent youth. This film charts the conditions in a dehumanised housing estate, where youths, out of boredom, gather into gangs that wander aimlessly, humiliate passers-by, and attack the defenceless. He discovers that parents have too little time for these children, that their actions are downplayed until tragedy strikes.
