Musikantenstadl is a live television entertainment program broadcast in the German language throughout Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. It features Austrian, Swiss, and German popular folk music, international pop and folk music as well as interviews and comedy. As a production of Eurovision, is co-produced by the Österreichischer Rundfunk, Bayerischer Rundfunk and Schweizer Fernsehen. Aside from the live television broadcasts it also tours in Austria and Germany as live concerts. It is currently hosted by Andy Borg and its location of broadcast varies between towns in different regions in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The show could be compared to being a much larger German version of the UK 1970's entertainment show The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club. However Musikantenstadl consists of a large ski lodge Set construction and not a Social Club.

A "children's birthday party" for adults. Each show featured a celebrity guest who had to take part in crazy, silly and often deliberately "moronic" games. Both presenters had to compete against the respective guest in various games.

A batch of more or less known celebrities, ready to expose themselves to a large amount of viewers, have to spend about two weeks in an Australian jungle camp. Each day, the viewers vote for the celebrity they would like to face a difficult task and later vote for their favorite to become the “Queen” or “King of the Jungle”. West Berlin, summer 1968: the attitude to life at the time through the eyes of (at least) three different quartets: the anarchic bards of "Insterburg & Co." wander through the backyards of Kreuzberg, passing the time with silly poems, homemade instruments and their playmates. The lively Jacob Sisters and their four poodles make guest appearances as international show stars in the luxury hotels. And postcard Berlin is presented by four oil sheikhs who are on a state visit.

After Norman fails to convince his father, a wealthy industrialist, with his brilliant business idea in the form of a chain of doughnut shops, the hopeful young entrepreneur is given an old tenement house to help him get started. He infiltrates the building incognito and finds a job as the unpopular houseboy. Norman realizes that all is not well with the quirky residents when he finds a dead Santa Claus from last year in the fireplace.
