Sidika is the story of Saka family and their young daughter Sidika who live in a poor neighborhood of Istanbul. Sidika was not allowed to go to high school, raised to wait her husband-to-be at her fathers home, not even allowed to leave their house on her own. But she educated herself through books, newspapers and TV. She approaches her life, half-witted older brother, oppressive and alcoholic father and traditionalist mother in a satirical and fun manner along with the current political and sociological events of Turkey and the world. She gazes the world through her window as she hungers for all the intellectual accumulation of the universe.

Perihan, her daughter Berna, and their family live together comfortably. Ferda, Perihan's famous daughter, runs a beloved hair salon. Ferda blames her troubles on her mother's abandonment. Berna is married with three children. Ferda has an affair with Berna's husband, causing a tragic event. Duru, Perihan's granddaughter studying in the US, arrives for the funeral. Ferda surprises the family by calling Perihan "mother," revealing a secret. This leads to a war between mother and daughter, affecting their neighbors Ipek and Aras.

Events occurred in Turkey in late seventies and early eighties.

Kahraman is a naive and right-minded guy. In a lovely Anatolian town, he earns a living as an attendant in a Turkish bath inherited from his great grandfathers. When it comes to marriage, Pınar also faces the same pressure from her mother. Uğur and Pınar meet by chance after a traffic accident. Aunt Ülfet, who is known for arranging marriages, is consumed with longing for her only son, Oğuz. Aunt Ülfet, who has even arranged marriages for birds flying in the neighborhood, has a major rival in Firdevs. Ülfet has also arranged a marriage for Firdevs' son, but Firdevs is dissatisfied with her son's marriage. That is why she harbors hostility toward Ülfet. Ülfet's son Oğuz returns to Turkey from Russia after years away on a long leave. However, Oğuz has come back the same way he left Russia. Therefore, a fierce intelligence war has begun between Ülfet's supporters and Firdevs' supporters in the neighborhood. Oğuz, who divides the neighborhood, does not have a single heart.

Samet and Yusuf, two close friends who grew up together, work at the same nightclub. Yusuf, who works as a valet, is dating Gizem, one of the prettiest girls in the neighborhood, while Samet, who works as a security guard, is dating Dicle. While the young couple is dreaming of getting married, Cevat, the neighborhood bully and thief, is plotting to trap Yusuf and Samet. Cevat plans to have Yusuf steal luxury cars, but when Yusuf refuses, he causes a scene. Samet is injured in the fight and taken to the hospital. There, Samet's brain scan is mixed up with another patient's, and Yusuf is forced to face the possibility that his best friend may die soon. Yusuf's sole purpose now is to make Samet happy in his final days. Yusuf steals Cevat's luxury car from the club and sets off on a journey with Samet and his eccentric aunt Nebahat.

At first pleased with this role, Ersan thinks he will escape at the first opportunity, but then he sees Hayal, the groom's cousin…

Orhan, who works as a funeral director at the municipality, is also responsible for the cemetery for the destitute. He wants to marry his girlfriend Serpil, but cannot afford to do so. Orhan's friend Rafet wants to dispose of a corpse and asks Orhan to bury it in the cemetery for the destitute in exchange for money. Orhan's conscience troubles him, but he thinks that with the money he will receive, he can marry Serpil, and reluctantly accepts the offer. However, during the burial, it is discovered that the man is not dead, and things get complicated.

It follows a man as he gets an epiphany in a repair shop and ends up becoming a mechanic's apprentice.
