Ayhan is orphaned at a young age. With the help of Hulusi Pasha, for whom his father worked as a servant, he continues his education. After completing his education and becoming an engineer, Ayhan wants to marry Selma, who grew up with him. Meanwhile, Selim becomes engaged to Filiz, the Pasha's daughter, in order to take advantage of her wealth. Some time later, Hulusi Pasha reveals to Ayhan and Selim that he has gone bankrupt. Upon hearing this, Selim breaks off the engagement, but Filiz is already pregnant. Upon learning of the situation, Hulusi Pasha suffers a heart attack and seeks to use Ayhan to save himself from this predicament.

The film tells the story of two friends living in the same neighborhood who struggle to become rich. Selim and Ali are friends. Ali wants to earn money and marry Lale, while Selim wants to escape from their neighborhood and poverty. Necdet, a mafia boss, once lived on Ümit Street, where Selim and Ali reside. Selim and Ali go to Necdet to ask for work. Necdet gives each of them a thousand lira and tells them to come back in five months with ten thousand lira. The two friends will get to know each other better during their individual struggles for survival.

Burhan and Kemal are minibus drivers in Şile. These drivers, who never get along, decide to buy new minibuses. Burhan orders from his sons Kaya and Naci, who are studying in Istanbul. In his will, Haşmet appoints Şaban as guardian of his young son and leaves all his property to him. However, for Şaban to fulfill Haşmet's will, the baby who went missing during the accident must be found. Upon this, Şaban and the factory clerk Bilal begin searching for the baby. Meanwhile, the appearance of Celal, who resembles Bilal, will further complicate the situation.

Tekin and Fatma want to do business with businessman Ahmet. Without knowing about each other's plans, they both try to convince Ahmet. During this process, Ahmet befriends Tekin and decides to do business with him. Not wanting to lose the deal to Tekin, Fatma will engage in a battle with him.
