A fairy tale about a king who does not solve his worries and problems, but runs away from them into dreams and visions. He trades everything he has for his dreams. But in time, the poor shepherd Martin intervenes, who knows that dreaming is beautiful, but the ability to make dreams come true is much more valuable.

Wartime events from a child's perspective were a popular theme during the previous regime - here it is a twelve-year-old village boy who experiences dangerous situations with retreating Nazi troops in picturesque South Bohemia... Any attempt to achieve a more believable depiction is destroyed by the staging's grandeur, and in the end the result is an awkward piece, suitable at most for celebrating the relevant national holidays. A longer copy with a tragic ending is stored in the NFA. Milda is shot unnoticed by an SS major.

A pure relationship develops between this couple, despite their age and social differences. In his naivety, Petr wants to introduce Jana to his parents as his bride. However, he learns that she is married to Honza...

This naively filmed adventure story draws from Robert L. Stvenson's novel, but adapts it to its own devices. It tells the story of a young Czech who witnesses the deceitful actions of a ship owner. In fact, the villain is enriched by the plight of Bulgarian patriots fighting against Turkish rule on the eve of World War I.
