Oi frouroi tis Achaias is a Greek popular television series that was broadcast on Mega Channel in 1992. It is an adaptation of a novel of the academician Tasos Athanasiadis and ran for 40 episodes. The directing was done by Giannis Diamantopoulos. The show stars Mimi Denissi, Stratos Tzortzoglou, Anna Synodinou, Katerina Helmi, Nikos Garyfallou, Vladimiros Kiriakidis, Babia Hadjidakis, Kostas Triantafyllopoulos, Thomas Kindynis/Kindinis, Christoforos Papakaliatis, Akindynis Gkikas and many more.

Vasilis Vasilikou's important book is being dramatized for Mega. A story about young people and their dreams, which has a lot to say today. Five boys, friends among themselves, trapped in the dead ends of their generation, seek, each separately and all together, an escape from everyday life, a window into a dream. A girl appears in their lives and acts as a catalyst. She has a vision, she has faith, she has courage and she dares to dream. Their common path and their contradictions give a different meaning to their lives, although they often bring them to their limits. Mavi Sürgün is a fictionalized account of one period of the life of a Turkish journalist who was condemned to exile for an article he wrote in 1925. He turned his punishment into a reward by creating a little paradise in what is today the holiday resort, Bodrum. In fact he is considered by some to be the first ecologist. The film concentrates on this latter aspect of his character and through flashbacks portrays the inner turmoil of a man who is trying to come to terms with his past. The slow pace is somewhat of a drawback, the flashbacks are often confusing and the protagonist is not always very convincing. But the photography of the country side is exceptional Kenan Ormanlar and the short appearance by a very theatrical Hanna Schygulla of Fassbinder fame adds a little spice to the drama.
