Aisha Muharrar is an American writer, producer, and director. A graduate of Harvard University with a degree in English and American Literature, she began her television career as a staff writer on Sit Down, Shut Up before joining Parks and Recreation, where she wrote and produced the series for six seasons, finishing as Co-Executive Producer. She also served as Co-Executive Producer on The Good Place, has written and directed the play Seldom, Very Seldom, and has developed comedy pilots for NBC and ABC. Her work has earned nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award, Writers Guild Award, and NAACP Award. She is also involved in mentoring and nonprofit fundraising initiatives, serves on the board of The Freya Project, and lives in California with her husband, writer and director Ben Epstein.
