Talk show host Marc Morin is at a crossroads in his career and in his personal life. The ratings of his show are failing and he is losing touch with his family. In an effort to regain the love and respect of his audience, Marc’s agent decides to send him, against his will, on a humanitarian mission to Haiti. Nothing can prepare Marc for the journey on which he is about to embark.

After his loved ones betray him, a man in his 30s goes to a lakeside cabin to hide from the world. But instead of finding peace, he has to deal with a kooky neighbour, a missing drowned man, a crook on the lam, a stripper who hides out with him, and the cop who’s madly in love with her and looking for her with murderous ardour.

After years of keeping his detectives at the headquarters, the Montreal PD has decided to reassign them to neighbourhood precincts in an effort to get closer to the population. Nadine Legrand and Patrick Bissonnette have to find their footing in their new work place: District 31.

Le Banquier is the Quebec adaptation of the international game show Deal or No Deal. It debuted on January 24, 2007 at 9pm on the TVA network. The program, produced in Montreal by JPL Production II Inc. and Endemol USA for TVA, is hosted by Julie Snyder. The show's main sponsors are Vidéotron and Hyundai. The show's first season ended on March 29, 2007. During the first season, episodes aired on Wednesdays at 9pm and Thursdays at 8pm. During the second season, episodes aired on Sundays at 7pm and Thursdays at 8pm.
