Set in the early 24th century against the backdrop of the city of Neo Venezia on the planet Mars. No longer the barren red planet, Mars has been flooded, inhabited and is something of a tourist hub for those looking for rest, relaxation and a gondola ride – the primary mode of travel in Neo Venezia. The Undines are professional gondoliers, tour guides for the people passing through. Akari Mizunashi is an Undine in training and this is a piece of her story.

In the middle of class at a certain school, Rumi Yokoi, a diligent student, has her in-class life turned upside down when her desk mate Toshinari Seki begins to play by himself at his desk in class. Although Rumi is irked by Toshinari's distracting yet intricate playtime, she finds herself being drawn into his interesting hobby. Never being able to focus, Rumi observes Seki's stunning ways of slacking off in class.

Hatsuki is a highschool student living with her sister, Hatsumi, who she has a huge crush on. On Hatsumi's 16th birthday, she is suddenly surrounded by a green light and disappears in front of Hatsuki! She manages to follow Hatsumi with the help of a being resembling a fat baby chick (literally), ending up in a place called "The Great Library", which is full of different worlds stored in books. Hatsumi wasn't there, though, so the search for Hatsuki's great love begins and involves traveling from book to book.

Ichinomiya Kantarou grew up with the ability to see demons, but was isolated and bullied by others who did not share the same gift. Instead, he became friends with the demons, gaining a great attachment to their existence. One day, Kantarou was told about the strongest demon, the one known as the ogre-eating Tengu. Chase believes that he, his friends, family, and Foodons can change the world, even if it involves going into battle against the Glutton Gormandizers, King Gorgeous Gorge's Big 4, and King Gorgeous Gorge's female cat-like servant, Clawdia.

During his imprisonment, the hierarchal structure flipped upside down, making it a world where the women dominated over men. Militia, churches, businesses and private businesses are operated by a female figure. Men were powerless, being controlled and enslaved by the women in Osaka. Being angered by the situation, Akuji and his partner Satsu begin their payback by teaching the stuck-up women in Osaka a little lesson...

The time is the near future. Cockroaches and other household pests have become immune to all forms of insecticides. In response to this crisis, a Japanese company has created small, doll-like, insect exterminating robots called Hoi Hoi-san. A competing company has also released their own version, Combat-san. Because of their adorable appearance, these little robots have become somewhat of a phenomenon and have gained many fans. Late at night, in the home of one such fan, Hoi Hoi-san and Combat-san search for insects to exterminate... but Combat-san is not above trying to exterminate Hoi Hoi-san while she's at it.

Ayaka Nakanishi is an ordinary twelve year old girl walking Ryan, her German shepherd, when heavy rain obliges her to seek refuge inside a telephone booth. The storm causes a strange phenomenon that sends both Ayaka and her dog back in time to March 7th, 1945.

In the distant future, a mysterious floating object appears suddenly in the center of Tokyo. The top secret mission unit Alta Mira Agency or AA is comissioned by the Defense Agency to deal with this mysterious invader. In charge of the robot training is Funagai Otsuya. He trains five special girls to use the Battle Soles to push back the enemy even at the cost of their lives.
