Christmas is coming. In a letter to Santa Claus, Ania writes that she would like to get a brother, but she only gets a doll. Then she is offended and cannot believe that no one believes in Santa Claus. Ania goes to meet Krzyś, the boy from the neighborhood. It turns out that he has never been visited by Santa Claus, so Ania dresses up as Santa Claus and gives him 3 gifts. Meanwhile, Krzyś is already 4 years old, so he should get 4 gifts.

Early 1960s. Four friends, Admiral, Ataman, Pasha and Chief, walk the streets of the town all day or sit at the train station, wallowing in their dreams. Everything changes when the Admiral meets Marta, a student on an internship. The boy begins to prefer the company of the girl over that of his colleagues. This becomes the cause of misunderstandings between friends. Soon, however, Marta leaves.

The film tells the story of Jerzy, a writer whose creativity has burnt out. His wife and their seven-year-old son Jasiek live far from the city. Jerzy’s enduring creative crisis and their related financial troubles affect the married couple. They are drifting apart and falling out of love. One day, they find out their son is ill and will have to travel to the city for an operation. The long-anticipated journey is exciting for the boy. For the parents, the journey is one of anxiety and separation, which forces them to reflect anew on the essence of their relationship.

In these eight tales set across Europe, singles navigate love's complexities via an online dating site, from marital games to elderly romance.
