Tough prime school girl Akkie loves soccer and can be a real bully. Love is the only thing she's scared of. When Akkie is diagnosed with leukemia, she has to fight for her life. On the verge of going to high school, Akkie has to allow love to enter her life, and thus gain courage to accept the inevitable.

Fat adolescent Dik Trom enjoys growing up in a hedonistic town devoted to food and fun. When a restaurant chain offers his father the life-long-dreamed opportunity to run his own, the Trom family moves. Their new home town Dunhoven is however inhabited by health freaks who prefer only fitness to dietary sobriety.

During the endless waiting in the Amsterdam AZC, gay Iranian Milad (30) tries to make the best of it together with his friends Arman (34) and Radfan (27). To get the residents in the AZC more in touch with each other, they decide to organize a poetry night. At the same time, gay Jurre (24) starts an internship at COA. He would like to do something good for Milad out of a sense of guilt about his privileges. When he hears about the poetry evening Milad and his friends want to organize, he decides to get involved, but soon finds out that his good intentions backfire.

The temporarily displaced teenager Olivia wants nothing more than to return to her mother Selma. In crisis center Girla, she discovers just how suffocating their symbiotic bond truly is.

Flikken Rotterdam takes place in Rotterdam, and is after Flikken Maastricht the second Dutch spin-off of the Flemish show Flikken.
