Teresa, a thirty-year-old nurse, interacts with old, dying people every day. Janusz, a boy he met in an amusement park, appears in the life of this bitter and disillusioned woman. Teresa does not have the courage to tell him how she feels, and he also has trouble expressing his emotions. Julka, a girl from the neighborhood, comes to their aid, and she loves Teresa. She finds a pile of someone else's love letters from the beginning of the century in the trash. By counterfeiting the handwriting of Teresa and Janusz, he starts a love correspondence between them, rewriting fragments of other people's confessions.
