Usta yönetmen Kobayashi bu hikayeleri inanılmaz yorumlamıştır. Film değil sanki herbiri üzerinden yıllarca çalışılmış paha biçilmez resimlerdir.

Gençler başta Sanjuro'ya güvenmeseler de ondan başka çareleri olmadığının farkındadırlar. Zamanla Sanjuro liderlik ve dövüş yetenekleri ile her bir gencin birer samuray olmasına katkıda bulunur.

İnsan Manzaraları serisinin 2. filminde Kaji (Tatsuya Nakadai) askere çağrılmıştır. Orduya ve savaşa karşı bir kişiliğe sahip olmakla birlikte iyi bir asker olarak dikkat çeken Kaji, aynı zamanda başına geleceklerden hiç çekinmeden doğru bildiklerini söylemeye devam etmektedir. Usta askerlere karşı kendisi gibi acemi erleri savunmaya çalışan Kaji, kendisi usta asker olup acemilerin eğitiminden sorumlu tutulduğunda tüm zorluklara karşın insani tutumunu sürdürmeye çalışacaktır.
