Sinema tarihinin en önemli filmlerinden birisi. Filmin tarihi bağlamda ifade edilmesi bir yana, özellikle seyirciye seslenen murder plot, aşk hikayesi vs. yönlerinin olması bunun nedenleri arasında sayılabilir. Carne & Prevert işbirliğini de bu başarıda gözardı etmemeliyiz. 1940′ların ortalarına doğru Fransız Sinemasının konumlandırılmasına bakıldığında bunda Marcel Carne ve onun ekibininin önemi gözler önüne serilir. Öyküde 1827-1828 yılları Fransa’sına panaromik bir bakış gözler önüne serilmektedir. Bu sahne özellikle akılda tutulmalıdır, filmin son sahnelerinde bu tip bir panaromik bakışa adeta simetri oluştururcasına geri dönülecektir. Açılış sahnesinin etrafında bulunan binalar seyircide derinlik hissi oluşturacak şekilde dizilmiştir ki bu izleyicide bir göz yanılması uyandırır. Ayrıca bu küçük setlerde, göz yanılması ve algı oyunlarıyla seyirciyi büyülemek amacıyla cüceler kullanılmıştır.

John Wayne, bu eğlenceli macera filminde vahşi hayvan avcısı Sean Mercer'i canlandırıyor. Afrika'nın büyüleyici doğasında geçen film, hayvan yakalama ekiplerinin renkli dünyasını anlatıyor. Özelikle sevimli fil yavruları ve Henry Mancini'nin "Baby Elephant Walk" şarkısı unutulmaz sahneler yaratıyor.

Wenders, Patricia Highsmith'in Ripley'in Oyunu (Ripley's Game) adlı romanından uyarladığı bu filmde Dennis Hopper, Nicholas Ray ve Samuel Fuller gibi Amerikan sinemasının üç idolunun bir araya getirmektedir. Amerikalı Arkadaş 'Kara Film (Film Noir)' türünün en iyi örneklerinden biri olarak kabul edilir. Filmde Ripley (D.Hopper), sahte tabloları, sanat koleksiyoncularına bile yutturarak muazzam servet edinmiş, kovboy şapkasını kafasından çıkarmayan bir Amerikalı olarak karşımıza çıkar. Önceden tanıdığı bir mafya patronu Ripley'den geçmişi temiz bir kiralık katil bulmasını ister. Ripley'in aklına gelen çerveci Zimmermann (Bruno Ganz)'dır. Kan kanseri olan Zimmermann bu işi özgür iradesiyle kabul eder. Ancak sonrasındaki geri dönülemez gelişmeler Ripley'i ilginç kararlar vermek durumunda bırakır.

A "three people relationship" with a pact involving a terrible past. The pact concerns France, Anne and Pierre.

The wife of a jet-set millionaire takes a holiday in Berlin and poses for racy photographs. These are stolen, a man is killed, and she decamps to the French Riviera with a different photographer, who may also now be in danger.

Paul has been imprisoned for ten years for passing counterfeit money. He feels victimized enough, both for the prison time and for the crime which led to it; he committed the crime to give his wife the nice things she asked him for. When he discovers that she has remarried a quite wealthy man, he is outraged. However, his ire is not due to her disloyalty to him; he loved their only son to distraction, and now the boy has no knowledge or memory of him.

In a small Italian town, the local youngsters realize that their youth is coming to an end and marriage will soon follow. They gather together for one last time in an attempt to revive their younger days, but this comes to a dismal conclusion. Gradually it dawns on the group that childhood is over and the next stage in human growth must be faced.

In disgust, Cain runs away from the place and contacts Abel, the perfect son, to borrow money from him. But, although Abel tells him he doesn't mind helping him, Cain shoots him down with a gun found in his brother's car.

After getting painfully separated from the woman he loves, Julien leaves his apartment. He goes in search of his old friends but no one is to be found and the city is silent.

Midi Première is a French variety show presented by Danièle Gilbert, directed by Jacques Pierre and broadcast from January 6, 1975 until January 1, 1982 on TF1. The program was generally broadcast between 12:15 p.m. and 12:55 p.m., then giving way to the 1:00 p.m. TV news. However, the broadcast schedule could change, depending on the guests, and the setting where the recording of the program was shot. Certain performances by artists who have become cult like the one where Ringo jostles with a demonstrator in interpretation (1977), that of Dalida with the title There is always a song with the soundtrack that does not start, twice, at the right speed (1978), Claude François and his Clodettes, who, in the provinces, are unable to join "the set" in order to interpret his song, the latter being taken by the crowd of delirious fans (summer 1977) . The group Supertramp performed there with the title "Dreamer" on March 8, 1975.
