Dino Saraybosna'da yaşayan,suça eğilimli ve hipnoz ile uğraşan bir gençtir.Komünist bir baba,baskıcı ağabey ve iki göz odada yaşayan aile yeni yapılan binalara taşınmayı düşlemektedirler.Dino bakması için kiralanan bir fahişeye aşık olur ve onun peşinden gider.Babası da bu sırada ölmüştür.Aile istediği eve kavuşmuştur fakat babalarını kaybetmilerdir.Dino da sevdiği kadına kavuşamaz ve orkestrada şarkı söylemeye başlar.Film Komünist Yugoslavya'nın bir özetidir. Sonuçta ortaya evrensel psikolojik temalar ile spesifik politik temaları, her ikisine dair kavrayışımızı zenginleştiren bir biçimde, birlikte örebilmeyi başaran hoş bir film çıkmıştır.

In the 1990s, the Yugoslavia Federation falls apart in bloody wars. Perpetual student Milan, a Serb from a patriarchal community, and Kenan, a Muslim cellist, are a gay couple living in Sarajevo. Their lives, intimate and public, are shaken up by the aggression in Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose devastating consequences unfold in inter-ethnic hatred.

The richest merchant in XIX century Sarajevo and his fellow travelers are captured by a group of bandits. In order to learn more about merchant’s riches, the bandits’ leader investigates the group and discovers that merchant’s wife, who cheated on merchant during one of his travels, later – in fear of his vengeance played to be possessed by “rage”. Looking for the cure, the merchant brings his wife to Ahmed Jusuf – former warrior and man of authority. Jusuf advised the merchant to take his wife and move into another region – having an idea on what was the story behind wife’s rage, bat also in an attempt to protect himself from the feelings that have already stifled.

Three prisoners, Combe from Rijeka, Menso from Bosnia, and Bogart from Belgrade, escape from prison. Their final destination is the city of their dreams - Hamburg. They temporarily part ways and agree to meet at the train station in Zagreb. First, each of them goes to his hometown. From there on, we follow three separate stories. In the first, Combe, in the shady harbor district of Rijeka, tries to get back at his former crime partner, Mrvi, who turned him in to the police. In the second story, we witness Mensa's relationship with his wife Riza and their children in a small Bosnian village. The third story depicts Bogart's love affair with a young teacher in a Belgrade suburb. Afterwards, at the train station in Zagreb, Bogart finds out from the newspaper that the police caught his friends. At the last minute, he changes the original plan.

Perhan is a gypsy teenager with telekinetic powers. A wealthy gypsy, Ahmed, visits the village and promises to get Perhan's sister the medical treatment she needs if they join him to Italy. Perhan soon discovers that Ahmed's business activities are in fact quite shady and he is soon lured into the elder's corrupt surroundings. An extended television version of Kusturica's 1988 film of the same name.
