Tom (4 years old), Suzanne (8) and Derek (10) spend the weekend with their grandparents. But nothing is as usual: Grandpa seems to be elsewhere; Tom wonders where Grandma has gone, she who always tells him incredible stories; Derek is hard at work renovating the old apple tree hut. So following in the footsteps of her ancestor, Suzanne improvises herself as a storyteller to illuminate the house with imaginary and wonderful stories and try to fill the absence of Grandmother. The movie is an adaptation of three tales written by Arnost Goldflam.

The investigation is taken up by the determined criminalist Laura Linhartová (Kristýna Ryška), and her old colleague Adam Beneš (Kryštof Hádek) is assigned to her. The main suspect is a recently convicted perpetrator who is responsible for a similar murder. Just when it seems that the search for Anna's murderer is over, new evidence appears that brings the whole case back to the beginning. The criminalists thus embark on a complicated investigation full of unexpected twists and turns. The circle of suspects in the small town expands dramatically. The tension between Laura and Adam rises, not to mention their different characters and shared past. And the question still hangs in the air: Who killed Anna Pittnerová?

With a little exaggeration, it can be said that he never actually died, as he immediately entered national mythology as the prototype of a brilliant military leader and a true Czech. The revolutionary events then took a slightly different course than he would have liked, but his legacy remained ever-present among the Hussites. To this day, Žižka lives on in our society, with books written and films made about him. But even after 600 years of uninterrupted interest, a significant question mark remains over the Trocnov warrior: What was he really like? A deeply religious warrior of God, or just an ordinary medieval cutthroat? Leading Czech historians, headed by Professor Petr Čornej, are attempting to answer this question.

David (Jiří Macháček) has one task: to investigate paranormal cases. But he doesn't feel like it. It's the 1980s, and there are a lot of annoying people who call each other "comrade." He doesn't believe in anything paranormal anyway. He prefers to sit in his office, pretending to work on research into satanic references in Western music, and enjoys listening to LPs that no one else in the country has. The world would be beautiful, but his superior assigns him a new colleague, Vojta (Jan Cina). This overzealous newcomer talks about pushing the boundaries of human knowledge and how science doesn't have answers to all the mysteries of the world yet. This mismatched duo has no choice but to cooperate in investigating bizarre cases that all other security forces in the state can't handle. To make it harder, they are constantly monitored by a pair of StB agents – the tough agent Snížková (Anna Fialová) and the sweetheart Hora (Leoš Noha).
