We follow the daily life of Kyou Sogoru, an ordinary high school student with a passion for swimming in the beautiful town of Maihama. His quiet life among friends, swimming and video games is turned upside down when an enigmatic and beautiful young girl, Shizuno Misaki, suddenly asks him to dive with her in their school swimming pool. This leap into the unknown takes Kyou to a war-torn world, where humans pilot impressive humanoid robots called Zegas to fight the evil Orm-Gards. To carry out this struggle, humans formed Cerebrum, a rebel organization aimed at preventing the extermination of humanity by the Orm-Gards.
