Nobita, Tokyo’da yaşayan 10 yaşında biraz saf bir çocuktur. Sewashi’nin ailesi ta Nobita’nın zamanından kalma bitmek tükenmek bilmeyen borçlar yüzünden çok zor zamanlar geçirmektedir. Sewashi, bu yüzden ailesinin talihsiz geleceğini şimdiden değiştirmek için yanında Nobita’ya göz kulak olacak kedi robot Doraemon’u getirmiştir.
