Matière Grise

Balthazar is a young African filmmaker trying to carry out his first project: The Cycle of the Cockroach. However, his potential investors frown on that he wanted to focus on such dark and heartbreaking issues about Rwanda's recent past. Balthazar wants to tell the story of a woman who suffers countless atrocities during the war and who ultimately ends up in the same hospital as a man who has gone mad after committing several murders at that time. Determined to finish their film, despite the lack of budget, the team begins filming. Soon, the violence and harshness of the scenes make the fiction real and surpass the director's own imagination.
