Mitä tapahtuu kun kahdeksan komiikan kärkinimeä joutuu sketsiputoukseen, joka jatkuu puolitoista tuntia yhtenä suorana virtana? Kyseessä on Suomen pisin, hauskin ja sekopäisin show: Putous! Osa sketseistä on nauhoitettu etukäteen. Käsikirjoitettujen osioiden lisäksi näyttelijät joutuvat esiintymään improvisoiden. Lisäksi olennainen osa ohjelmaa on Vuoden sketsihahmo -kilpailu.
