Lucie is 14 years old and has an overflowing imagination. She lives alone with her father who spends his days hanging out at home in his dressing gown. Under the guise of a retarded teenager, William struggles daily against the symptoms of multiple sclerosis. Between caring for him, school work and her moonlighting job at the sandwich shop, Lucie finds no way out except by writing a ramshackle autobiographical novel.
