Zeit nach der Trauer

The story of Imke, who lost her daughter in an accident and lives in pain, grief and guilt. Imke and Volker live in Wahrenberg, a village on the former German-German border, in a house on the Elbe, directly behind the dike. They lost their four-year-old daughter in a tragic accident. The story begins on the deceased child's fifth birthday. Imke is about to break from her pain. Since the child's death, she has locked herself in the house, only living in memories and in mourning for her daughter. Through the encounter with Waller and the tragic fate of his family, Imke realizes that no matter how great the grief and pain, there can be a time after the grief for them too.
