Film6.5Artık büyücü avı başladı, etrafı el feneriyle kolaçan eden bir gurup bile yoktu. HUAC dinleme odalarındaki kameraları başlatmadan önce koltuklarına oturan bu avcılar aslında politikacılardı. Hollywood şimdi duruşmada. David Merrill "isimleri söyleyerek" cevap vermek zorunda. Oscar Ödülü® Sahibi Robert De Niro (Raging Bull 1980, Godfather II 1974) ve Ocsar Ödülü Adayı Annette Benning (American Beauty) Şüphe ve Ceza'da başrolleri paylaşıyolar. Deneyimli Irwin Winkler'in (Rocky, Raging Bull) etkileyici yönetmenliği ve senaryo yazarlığıyla canlı bir şekilde yaratıcı topluluğun kötüye çıkmış adı "Kara Liste Devri"ni tekrardan yaratıyor. Birinci sınıf oyunculuğuyla mükemmel rollerinden birinde Merrill'i canlandıran Robert De Niro arkadaşlarının komünist olmakla suçlandığı davada aleyhlerinde şahitlik eder. Tekrar film çekme şansı elinden kayarken... Merrill'in eski eşi Annette Benning te girdap havuzundaki skandalların içine birlikte sürüklenir.
