Latoszyński, a landowner from Kresy, meets the dancer Lulu, with whom he falls in love, during a dance in Warsaw. His friend Stefan decides to surprise him, and when Latoszyński leaves the restaurant, he finds Lulu in the car, who persuades him to travel together to the countryside.
