Nous Deux

Originally from a Corsican village, Toussaint and Madeleine emigrated to Paris to find work. But when it comes to retirement, Toussaint wants to end his days in the land of his ancestors. The couple arrives in the middle of winter: the village seems dead. The inhabitants deserted or died. Only a few die-hards maintain the sacred fire.
