At the royal castle, the young King John's curiosity is aroused by the story of the nomadic acting company about the evil and heartless Princess Anne. He decides to go with the actors to the land of King Matthew and with their help fix the capricious girl's head. However, when Ján sneaks into the castle at night and sees the princess's beauty, he decides to propose to her. However, the princess rejects him, saying that she would rather marry a beggar than him. And so it happens, even at her father's command. The next day, the princess must marry a beggar who hides his disfigured face under a linen rag. The beggar, who is disguised and disguised as Ján, prepares the princess a dose of proper lessons, which will turn the princess into a selfless, kind-hearted and hardworking person.
