Los gozos y las sombras

The series "Los gozos y las sombras" is the film adaptation for its television broadcast of the famous trilogy of the same name by Gonzalo Torrente Ballester. A rural drama that takes place in Pueblanueva del Conde, a Galician town imagined by the author, between 1934 and 1936, with the 2nd Republic in the background. The viewer becomes a witness to the tensions between caciques and workers, the social and union struggles, the violence and the passions that give shape to the series.
