İki uçak gemisini, Amerikalıları kuzeye çekmek için Aleutian Adaları’na doğru göndermişler, iki uçak gemisini de esas filonun çok gerisindeki çıkarma filosuna tahsis etmişlerdi. Japon şifresini çözen Amerikalılar birçok bocalamaya ve Yorktown’ın bu sefer batmasına rağmen, Japon İmparatorluk Filosu’nun bel kemiği olan en önemli dört Japon uçak gemisini batırdılar. Bu savaşın Amerikalılar lehine sonuçlanmasındaki en önemli etken Amerikan ordusunun Japon şifreleme sistemini çözmeleri ve Japonların bundan haberi olmamasıdır. Wanted: Dead or Alive is an American Western television series starring Steve McQueen as the bounty hunter Josh Randall. It aired on CBS for three seasons from 1958–61. The black-and-white program was a spin-off of a March 1958 episode of Trackdown, a 1957–59 western series starring Robert Culp. Sea Hunt is an American adventure television series that aired in syndication from 1958 to 1961 and was popular in syndication for decades afterwards. McHale was made the Skipper of the Torpedo Patrol (PT) Boat #73 stationed at the U.S. Naval Installation on the island of Taratupa in the Southwest Pacific. The 73 'Family' included, among others, a con man and amateur Magician, a womanizing hunk, a dedicated Family man, a guitar-playing, moonshine-making Tennessee good ol' boy, and even a deserter from the Japanese Navy, who was an excellent cook.
