Leo Tolstoy'un 1869 tarihli "Savaş ve Barış" romanının dört bölümlük uyarlamasının ilk filmi. 1805 yılında St. Petersburg'da, zengin bir asilzadenin gayri meşru oğlu Pierre Bezukhov, yüksek sosyete ile tanıştırılır. Arkadaşı Prens Andrei Bolkonsky, Napolyon'a karşı Üçüncü Koalisyon Savaşı'nda General Mihail Kutuzov'un yaveri olarak Rus İmparatorluk Ordusuna katılır.

Soviet engineer Kuznecov is coming to Prague as an expert on work with the tunneling shield in construction of the metro. He is returning after more than thirty years. His dog couldn't bear waiting for the only person that ever cared for him and set out to find his master. Thus began the story of a homeless dog and his many breathtaking and exciting adventures, encounters of many people, kind and evil, and leads to an unexpected and heart-rending end.
